YOFonts STANDARD About Botaniq

So-called "Techno styled" typefaces are often designed with imagery taken from the typeface for magnetic optical reading. On the other hand, some designers purposely exaggerate the sharper corners originally intended to avoid ink blots occuring where lines meet, cross or bend. This gives the effect as if these typefaces are a variation of magnetic optical letterforms.

Botaniq is designed in this nature, but the result looks like "Techno style twisted into Art Nouveau".

Sometimes, high-tech devices with cables look like new plants from the future, therefore Techno style may correspond to Art Nouveau's plant imagery.

Botaniq is designed by Yamaoka Yasuhiro 2001-2002.
