Opuscula Sans, Serif & Script Light, Medium, Bold download: OpenType | A3 poster Opuscula was originally designed as a condensed version of Midiet. There were unused alternative letterforms for Midiet. and some of them fit well into a condensed proportion. These alternative characters were combined to form condensed Midiet. It now has another name: Opuscula. Because of this, Opuscula shares many similar characteristics of Midiet. Opuscula (オーパスキュラ) は元々はMidiet (ミディエット) の長体版で、Midiet用に考えていたが結局使わなかった字形のヴァリエーションがこの長体版に嵌りそうなので、それを組み込んで新しく名前を付け直したものである。そんな訳で、OpusculaはMidietに良く似た雰囲気の書体になっている。 While designing individual italic version each for Opuscula Sans & Serif, adopting more script touches in their letterforms made them too similar. Therefore, I decided to mix these up to the one italic complement. At first, I called it just simply Opuscula Italic, then I changed its name to Opuscula Script. It is because when putting style names of the Opucula family in alphabetical order (Sans - Script - Serif), some charecters look like the transitions of their styles. Opuscula (オーパスキュラ) SansとSerifと各々に独立したイタリックを作っていたが、スクリプトの雰囲気を更に字形に盛り込んだ結果、どっちも似過ぎてまるで同じものになってしまった。そこで、両方をミックスして、一つに纏めることにした。最初はただ単にOpuscula Italicと呼んでいたが、後にOpuscula Scriptに名称変更した。スタイル名のアルファベット順 (Sans - Script - Serif) に各キャラクタを並べると、スタイルの推移そのままに見えたりするからである。 Opuscula is designed by Yamaoka Yasuhiro 2008-2011. ©2011 YOFonts/Yamaoka Yasuhiro.
